I started with the basic 2018 Camaro blueprint and got about 50% of the way done before I started actually designing the DTM aspect of the car. So I went from top to bottom and halfway down the car was where stuff started to get interesting. I used 2015 DTM cars as a reference as they're some of my favorite looking cars from the DTM bloodline and were just before the time when aero became more refined and simple that is now present on the cars on the grid today. The car is a bit more angular than it would be if it were to become a reality but it definitely was made to fit in with the car's attitude, the front dive planes are pretty much the 1LE dive planes with some exaggerated dimensions, so I tried to make the rest of the car similar to that mindset, using the car to redesign itself essentially.
It kind of sucks that DTM is homologated to GT500 rules for class one racing because we no longer have the big V8s to listen to during the race, just 4 cylinders.
